After I graduate in Philosophical Sciences I would like to be employed in the Human Resources
sector, especially I would like to deal with internal relations, as well as benefits and rewards
management. I shall admit that during my academic studies I have never taken specific economic or
human resources related exams, nevertheless, I believe that studying and analyzing convoluted
argumentations, logical reasoning and enigmas in Greek, Latin or German texts, have provided me a
questioning, critical conscience that is always seeking for alternative ways compared with more
schematically organized scientific or economic related teachings. Ideally, besides administrative
tasks, I would like to contribute to creating a high-quality work environment in which the employees
feel content and fulfilled. I think that workers’ satisfaction is a huge factor in a company’s reputation
and trend, since comfortable employees are more likely to share the company’s goals and to be
stimulated into giving their best. Perhaps, I am going against the principles of economy claiming that
some of the profit should be invested in the workers’ well-being, leisure time and services that benefit
them, and not only to create additional profits, bearing in mind that as I said the employees’ wealth
and gratification will lead to a more willing and refreshing contribution from them.
To learn the practical and administrative aspects of the job, I would like to have the chance to do an
internship, probably right after my graduation, from April 2018. During this period – of about four
months – I may follow the workers of this sector, to learn how the management of the human
resources works, and become acquainted with the computer software. Then I am planning on
attending a specific Master on the HR, but I think maybe an internship experience will help me
understand the particular area that suits me better, and I think it will be more educational than a
Master.
