Working in Germany – job and residence permit

Jobs in Germany for professionals from around the world

Germany is a popular and attractive country to immigrate to, with a shortfall of qualified professionals. We have made it our mission to counteract this shortage by finding jobs in Germany for international qualified professionals. We also offer support with the bureaucratic hurdles encountered on the way to living and working in Germany.

Applying for a job in Germany? We make it easy!

Using our online platform, employers in Germany can find and contact international skilled workers and professionals. This makes the application process especially easy for potential candidates:

  • after registering with Employland, you can complete your personal profile and publish it at no charge. In our online form, we ask everything that is relevant to companies in Germany.
  • Your personal profile allows employers all over Germany to find you. Only employers registered with Employland can see all profile data.
  • The first contact through Employland is always made by the employer, so it is important that your profile is filled out completely. There are no job advertisements from companies at Employland.

Qualified professionals are never charged for job placement; the employer pays a fee.

Visa, work permit, recognition of qualifications

Depending on nationality and place of residence, different applications must be submitted to various agencies. This could be applying for a residence permit, or a process for recognizing professional training or a university degree. We help you with this process. Generally speaking, your future employer will cover the costs incurred for this.

German language

In addition to the professional and legal requirements, you also need sufficient German language skills to be able to work in Germany. For certain professions, verification of a language certification is required in order to receive a work permit. Good knowledge of German is also important for adjusting quickly to life in Germany, establishing a circle of friends, and enjoying activities in your free time.

In accordance with the requirements of the German job market, we offer our platform only in German and English. If you have any difficulty completing the forms on your online profile, we recommend that you take a German course as soon as possible.

At the bottom of this page you can find out more about which schools offer German instruction in your country of residence. Please inquire directly with the school whether they organize the required examinations and issue a certificate that is recognized by the German authorities.
