Sustainable Solar Home Systems for the Achievement of the Millennium Development Goals:
This seminar mainly focused on the development of solar home systems and market opportunties in developing countries. It covered the challenges to penetrate in the deveoping countries and associated problems such as social acceptance and lack of expertise to maintain the system. A number technical and business cases were conducted by students and expertise in the solar home systems.

In the seminar International , a variety of topics were presented by experienced experts from SNV Netherlands, who have been working in domestic biogas programmes in several Asian and African countries for more than 25 years. The course content covers an introduction into biological and biochemical processes in a biodigester, different types of domestic biodigesters and appliances, the use of biodigester effluent as fertiliser and animal feedstock as well as the SNV approach to mass dissemination and biodigester sector development.
