Official - Tax Administration (Higher Intermediate Service)

1. To audit and assess taxpayers' financial records for compliance with the Swaziland’s tax laws.
2. To perform complete Transfer Pricing audits on Multi-National Companies.
3. To provide information and Interpretation of tax laws to taxpayers, accountants, lawyers and the general public i.e. through personal, telephone or written communication.
4. To assist with on-the-job training and supervision of Audit team members.
5. To act as a liaison for the Tax Audit Manager in finalizing audit results with the taxpayer.
6. To perform other duties as assigned.

1. To detect and investigate tax evasion and fraud
2. To apply tax legislation to companies, partnerships, organizations and individuals;
3. To examine accounts and researching background material of non-compliant taxpayers.
4. To give expert advice on taxation matters to companies, partnerships, organizations and individuals;
5. To negotiate tax settlements with taxpayers and their accountants or solicitors;
6. To represent at independent appeal tribunals in disputed cases.

1. To produce quality assessments of Individual & Company returns in compliance with the Tax laws & rulings issued by the Commissioner General.
2. To ensure that income & tax liabilities declared are true, correct & comply with the law & accounting principles.
3. To check if the computation of tax due is correct
4. To timeously respond to taxpayer queries and correspondence.
5. To review and recommend changes to assessing procedures.
6. To educate & advise taxpayers through interviews on the Income Tax Order 1975, thus improving compliance.
