Occupational Safety Manager

Elaborate risk assessments and safety instructions for all job categories.
Review and update of safety procedures.
In charge with accident/incident investigation and report.
Perform inspections in order to assess health and safety risks associated with equipment, materials and processes within shipyard and/or onboard.
Taking immediate corrective action whenever necessary to address non-conformance/non-compliance.
Verifying and monitoring implementation of HSE corrective actions.
Coordinate emergency response teams in case of incident (ambulance and firefighting team).
Perform safety trainings for company and contractor personnel.
Monitoring Site development and related HSE trends and identifying potential areas for improvements in safe work practices.
Plan, coordinate and control the activity of safety inspectors.
Complete integrated management system audits to assess safety and health risks at the work places.
Promoting the use of field-level risk assessment on site to ensure hazards are identified and understood by workforce.
Providing support and follow up of HSE studies.
Acting as advisor on HSE related matters to all the personnel onsite.
Chairing the weekly HSE meetings; preparing, distribute the Minutes of Meeting and monitor the implementation of actions.
Check the standards and implementation ratio of ISO standards.
Prepare management review regarding OHSAS 18001.
Budget implementation, forecasts and administration for PPE and safety equipment (gas mask & filters, body harness, protection screens etc.) .
Preparing and presenting activity reports, statistics and presentations for Top Management, owner representatives, authorities, and 3rd party auditors.
Attending and contributing to HSE meetings and follow-ups on action items.
Evaluation of the contractors HSE performance.

Managing, reporting and investigating of HSE related events; monitoring the implementation of corrective actions.
In charge with shipyard waste management and related logistics.
Site Inductions, Site Inspections environmental and safety.
Inspection of PPE use.
In charge of checking and evaluation of safety, environment and other 5S related activities.
Evaluate the compliance of all departments with the environmental requirements (legal issues and ISO 14001).
Evaluation of the cleaning and wastes segregation within shipyard and onboard.
Plan, coordinate and control the activity of safety inspectors.
Complete training sheets;
Implementation of any safety related procedures or safety awareness campaigns
Management, storage, placement/Inspection of safety / firefighting/fire prevention equipment on yard/store
Intervention in case of accidental pollution (hazardous materials spill, water pollution etc).
Elaborate and update the shipyard Environmental Response Plan in case of accidental pollution.
In charge of innovation and improvement of HSE related activities.

Management yearly budget related to environmental expenses.
Conducting environmental campaigns.
Elaborate environmental procedures.
Coordinate subcontractor teams in charge with wastes handling and transport.

Perform daily inspections within shipyard and onboard in order to check compliance with environmental aspects related to: waste segregation & logistic, fuel boarding, dangerous waste management and other safety and environmental issues.
Intervention in case of accidental pollution (hazardous materials spill, water pollution etc.).
