Engineer - Safety Technology

Throughout the MSc, on the basis of the knowledge previously acquired, the different aspects related to the nuclear power plants get explored: operations, safety, nuclear measurements and nuclear medicine, thermal-hydraulics, decommissioning and civil engineering principles. University projects included throughout the years: thermal analysis of a nozzle in a spherical pressure vessel; heavy water production and in reactor behaviour; technological design and workshop cycle analysis of mechanical components; decontamination techniques in NPP decommissioning.

This three-years University course is set to establish solid basis in the field of Nuclear Engineering. Amongst others, mathematics physics and chemistry are the backbone subjects of the course, as well as the principles of Nuclear Engineering, Physics and Radiation Protection.

Provide support for the review of the licensing documentation (safety analysis and calculations).
Manage feedbacks from relevant Authorities on submitted documentation.
Management of design change proposal in comparison with basic design amendment.

Tutor for an on the job training for Armenian personnel of ANRA and NRSC about pressurized thermal shock analysis for VVER reactors.
Piping and CE marking.

Internship for thesis work.
Design of a system for drying and packaging spent resins.

Theorical and practical training about safety behaviour and rules to follow in a nulear power plant

Summer school about operational issues in radioactive waste management and nuclear decommissioning
