I studied for four years and received an honour degree in political science. During this time, I took many courses about public administration at different levels of municipal, provincial, and federal governments.

In Canada, I taught students from various backgrounds: students who wanted to enter college or university and needed English for academic purposes, and students who sought employment or studied English to find a job. I also taught students from beginner to advanced levels. Since these programs followed different syllabi, I used different approaches and methodologies of teaching and learning in second language education.
In Turkey I worked as a teacher and administrator. As a teacher, I taught several levels and worked on developing curriculum and creating exams. As an administrator, I coordinated work between the foreign teachers and the Turkish management staff, and mediated students’ and teachers’ problems in order to facilitate their study and work.
