I used the gamma-camera Discovery NM630 Siemens for the optimization of the iterative reconstruction
method OSEM. I studied the trend of values about spatial and contrast resolution parameters extrapolated
on images that were acquired with all possible OSEM settings. I successfully found the best settings to
optimize the extrapolation of the quantitative parameter SBR on Nuclear Medicine images with the
radiopharmaceutical FP-CIT.

I learned how to perform the main nuclear medicine exams, both with SPECT and PET/CT machines.
I acquired the skill of the main mechanisms of preparation of some radiopharmaceuticals labelled with
technetium 99m, iodine 123, indium 111 and fluor 18.

I learned how to perform the principal MR (with or without gadolinium contrast medium) and CT exams (with
and without iodine contrast medium) on all body parts. In particular, I was able to practice extensively with
the MR machine in the brain and encephalic trunk region. I worked autonomously during the entire process
of examination, from the patient handling till the end of the image acquisition.
I also gained some experience with mammography examination.
