Working as a Process Engineer progressed from Operations in Petrochemical/Polymer manufacturing, with key responsibilities include:
- Key role as Process Engineer, responsible for unit Operations and process Technology in Polymer manufacturing, which includes world scale Poly Ethylene Units, Poly propylene and Poly styrene unit.
- Preparation and development of process conceptualization, mass & energy balances, PFD, P&ID, Equipment datasheet, Layout drawings & other process engineering documents.
- Responsible for execution of plant commissioning, start-up activities and Performance guarantee test runs of world scale Poly
- Ethylene units licensed by slurry loop technology (MarTech).
- Lead the commissioning team and startup of DCS, SIS/ESD systems and APC implementation in coordination with licensors and vendors.
- Provide expertise and support operating shift teams and Production Team Leaders for maintaining optimum unit process performance and preventing and/or solving process/technical problems.
- Leadership role in planning and execution of the plant turnaround and major projects in a safely and economical manner.
- Manage safety reviews such as HAZOPS, PHA, JSA and ensure that all agreed recommendations and changes (MOC) resulting from such reviews are incorporated into the design.
- Supervise and execute the MOC projects in accordance with the company’s HSE management system.
- Manage and conduct process engineering and technology training for new engineers and existing employees.

- Supervise, plan and management of the production activities, preparation of daily production, inventories & raw material streams, its Variance reports and presentation to top Management.
- Liable for DCS Operations (Delta-V) by monitoring the process parameters of the plant as per the established standards and adjust parameters in order to meet the specified consumption and product specification.
- Identify areas of improvement and recommend process modifications to enhance operational safety and efficiency.
- Planning and co-ordination with maintenance departments for routine, scheduled and unscheduled jobs.
- Lead the plant modifications for catalysts, chemicals, technology and develop cases for revamp.
- Provided guidance for development and review of engineering design, PFD’S, P&ID’S and Equipment data sheets.
- Identify & pursue opportunities to optimize utilization or de-bottleneck existing assets as appropriate.
- Responsible for maintaining all documentation of MOCs, IMS (QMS, EMS, OHSAS), GREEN CARD and training to others for awareness of all these.
- Well experienced in lockout-tag out system and work permit (e-permit) system through SAP.

Simulation of process equipment such as mixers, heat exchangers pumps, compressors, turbines and flash separators, reactors, distillation column. Development of simulation model for mixing, separation process, distillation etc using ASPEN Plus.

Piping and vessel integrity testing using Visual Inspection, Eddy Current Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Radiographic Testing, Ultrasonic Testing.
