• Creation and development of a new trustee network for the Company, especially related to Claims
business area. In particular:
- Claims Experts for motor claims
- Claims Experts for non-motor / property claims
- Doctors
- Lawyers
- Insurance investigators
• Technical auditing on trustees technical reports
• Control and reporting activities on trustees KPI
Results achieved:
- Created in less than 3 months a new Technical Services Providers network, covering the whole Italian territory.
- Tested and controlled, until perfect performances, a new built Web Portal to allow online reporting for each one of the involved Service Providers categories (claim experts/lawyers/legal doctors/private investigators).
- Drew up a new contract, in compliance with applicable laws, containing a new flat-rate remuneration (first company in Italy to propose this kind of contract) to let the company quickly estimate the total expected expenses for Providers remunerations.
- Over 90% of supervised Providers reached or exceeded the requested KPI.
05/2008 – 10/2010
• Settle claims with antifraud issues.
• Investigate the claims to create new antifraud operational processes for best fraud fight.
• Create an automated Excel file to record and report the savings obtained in the antifraud activities.
Results achieved:
- The new processes permitted a 220.000 euro yearly saving on fraud claims.
07/2004 – 04/2008
• Internal auditing claims with fraud issues.
• Support the Loss Adjuster when they had to settle claims with fraud issues.
• Create an IT Tool to help the Loss Adjuster to quick detect claims with fraud indicators.
• As SIX-SIGMA Green Belt: be involved in projects to develop new company processes or enhance the existing ones.
Results achieved:
- Created, developed, tested, fixed and tuned, until full performances, a new IT Tool with automatic and manual alarms to quickly warn the Loss Adjusters when a claim had possible fraud issues. An external software house requested 300.000 euro to create one. We created it in house with just 30.000 euro (all for FTE jobs) with a 90% saving.
- Identified about 40 indicators of possible fraud and suggested investigation processes for each one.
- Made classroom based training to Loss Adjusters about how to use the new IT Tool (teaching and public speaking skills involved).
- The saving for the company achieved via the new IT Tool has been about 1.2 MN euro the first year and an average 3 MN euro per year for the following years)

• Manage and give an answer to all the incoming requests (related to claims management) from National Insurance Control Authority (IVASS).
• Manage and give an answer to all the incoming complaints (related to claims management issues) coming from company customers.
Results achieved:
- I managed about 1.500 requests and complaints per year, giving professional and accurate answers, always according to applicable laws and internal Company SLA.
06/2000 – 08/2002
• Manage and settle motor and property insurance claims.
Results achieved:
- I had become very competent in the field of motor and property damages insurance claims.
- I learned claims settling techniques and all the applicable laws in that field.
- As Direct Line was a direct insurance company, I learned how to manage in the best way a phone and/or email conversations with customers, also difficult ones, providing high levels of service.
