Undertaking research into phase contrast x-ray imaging of the lungs

• Proven ability to plan and direct research, coordinate large multidisciplinary teams and motivate people to deliver cutting edge research outcomes, as shown during my PhD and postdoctoral research position, where I was responsible for running the laboratory whilst our lab head was overseas during the entirety of 2016, including directing research collaborations with national and international research groups and the supervision of Research Assistants and PhD candidates.
• Extensive experience communicating with multiple levels of stakeholders and collaborators, including clinicians, researchers, funding bodies and the general public on developing ideas, planning experiments and presenting results and outcomes.
• Highly developed research skills, including planning and conducting experiments at national and international research facilities such as the in Japan, the , the Laboratory for Dynamic Imaging small animal x-ray scanner at and the .
• Proven ability to work through complex problems and develop successful solution strategies, as shown by my strong publication track record relative to opportunity.
• Extensive experience with x-ray imaging, including absorption based imaging, phase contrast imaging and CT, in both a physics optimisation capacity and a biomedical capacity with live animals for disease diagnosis and treatment development.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and reach goals, objectives and deadlines, as demonstrated through project management and development during my Postdoctoral position, including the submission of grants, grant progress reports and budgets, and management of grant finances exceeding AU$1.2 Million.

Lecturing 'Physics for Radiography', and presenting tutorials and laboratories for this topic, as well as writing and marking examination papers.
Teaching in the third year pure physics laboratories, marking assignments.
