Achievements

• Prepared project proposal for DEMENTIA SCREENING SURVEY along with Mini Mental Status Examination (MMSE) tools in
the regional language.The project started in January 2019 and about to finish by May 2019.

• Organized PRAJNA-2, a campaign for brain health which includes seminars, awareness classes for community based
organizations (CBO’s) and colleges, Memory walk etc.

• I have conceptualized and drafted DEMENTIA RESPITE HOME project and submitted to department of social justice and
family welfare for funding

Major Tasks

Achievements

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES :
• Developed a fully fledged research centre for Dementia and a reference library.

• Formed Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) at ARDSI which comprise of a neurologist, Psychiatrist, Geriatrician,
Theologian with doctoral degree, homeopathic physician, Ayurveda Physician, Naturopathy physician, Social worker and a
community representative.

• Initiated and facilitated a research project titled “A clinical study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Curcumin
supplementation (CurQfen - The enhanced bio available formulation of curcumin) on Dementia patients having Mild to
Moderate decline in Locomotor activities and impairment in Learning/Memory.”

OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS

• Prepared project proposal and brought fund to conduct state wide campaign for Dementia Awareness covering 14 districts in
Kerala. The campaign covered more than 50000 people in the state.

• Brought financial assistance for executing the National Dementia Helpline.

• Initiated community programmes for creating Dementia Friendly Communities (DFC). The memory screening programmes
conducted in 70 wards at Cochin Corporation, Kerala.

• Compiled and prepared country wide report for ARDSI.

• Organized seminar for WORLD BRAIN AWARENESS week in March 2018. Faculties from National institute of Mental
Health and Neurosurgery (NIMHANS), Bangalore delivered classes. Documentary on the socio-economic dimensions of
Alzheimer’s was screened.

Major Responsibilities

• Monitor the National Dementia Helpline Activities and prepare weekly planning roster

• To maintain liaison with Government officials, other NGOs and Social Workers.

Worked on a research project titled "Mass Gathering, health domains and health system responsiveness: A study of Sabarimala pilgrimage in Kerala”. My task was to verify the collected data and assist the principal investigator for data analysis, occasional filed supervision , literature review and report writing.

As a Project Manager cum research fellow, I was assigned to develop research proposal for both market research and academic research. Major achievements are listed below.

• Conducted research study for higher secondary school at Kochi for improving the quality of educational practices.

• Facilitated data collection for Tourism studies.

machine and the government sanctioned fund to ensure free CD-4 count testing centre.
• Developed a resource hub on HIV/AIDS at TDNP+ under Life Focus Centre project.
• Developed monitoring and evaluation tools for the District Level Positive Networks at 14 districts in Kerala.
• Report preparation and submission to state level organization CPK+ (Council of People Living with HIV/AIDS) and national
level organization INP+ ( Indian Network for People Living with HIV/AIDS).

I have attended 5 days orientation course on medical management of HIV/AIDS and Counseling from 15.09.2004 to 20.09.2004. The 5 days sessions covered the possible medical care for HIV infected people and the effective ways to provide pre-test and post test counselling.
