• I am responsible for characterization and testing of samples for research work and industrial partners. It includes the analysis and report generation for meetings and presentations.
• I’m involved in interdisciplinary projects for polymeric additives mainly dealing with flame reyardants. It also includes synthesis of DOPO-based flame retardant. I have also suggested improvisation route to industry. Some projects are as follows:
A) Product development of Sulfenamide (Major project)
B) Epoxy (DGEBA/IPDA) flame-retardancy for
C) Exploring mode of action of synergistic halogen-free flame retardancy in gas and condense phase, and for different system such as intumescent
D) Replacement of brominated flame-retardant for
E) Flame-retardancy for UPM’s wood polymer composites
• Flame retardant (radical generators) blending and testing for,
I) thermoplastic such as PP, LDPE, PU, HDPE, LLDPE with different MFI etc
II) thermosetting resin such as Epoxy (DGEBA/IPDA and DDS) for composites
III) Wood Polymer Composite, Ekovila (waste for insulation)
ISO testing include UL-94 HB & V, DIN ASTM, Cone Calorimeter, LOI, NOI
Furthermore, recommending optimum quantity of additives and specialty chemicals
