• Interpretation of fabrication drawings and contract specifications relevant to the project.
• Co-ordinate with Client representative for welding procedures and welders.
• Inspection of incoming materials like Plates, pipes ,Fittings, Structural materials, Welding consumables etc. and review of corresponding documents for its compliance.
• Updating of all projects drawings/documents in the Documents control Register.
• Monitor the performance of welders and their rates on weekly/monthly basis and shall decide on the necessity of training /requalification.
• Carry out inspection stage –wise activities like Rolling, machining, Fit-up, Welding, Dimensional verification etc are as per Approved ITP/QCP & drawings and prepare a report for these activities.
• Liaise with Client site representative to resolve all quality related issues.
• Ensure the compliance of stage wise inspection by Client in accordance with the approved Inspection & Test Plan.
• Coordination with NDT contractor for various test methods and review of reports.
• Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with the approved drawings / documents and with proper traceability.
• Preparation of inspection reports & weld summary for the Final Dossier and take approval from Client / TPIA.
