Master's programme Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security related to both, plant and animal production, with a special emphasis on biological background of agriculture. Subjects of the study were distinguished in the three main corridors: i) plant production, ii) animal production and iii) food sciences (and food safety). Programme was designed to prepare the students rather for lab and scientific work.

Programme focused on general biology, diversified into five fields: i) molecular biology, genetic and biochemistry, ii) organisms (zoology, botany, systematic etc.) iii) animal and plant physiology, anatomy and morphology, iv) ecology and evolution and v) other subjects including chemistry and physics, lab techniques etc.

Laboratory training and data collection. Evaluation of boar sperm plasma membrane integrity (eosin/nigrosin, propidium iodide/carboxyfluorescein diacetate, hypoosmotic swelling test (HOST), combined HOST and eosin staining), sperm motility and kinetic assessment (subjective, computer assisted sperm analysis), sperm morphology

Assistant in Laboratory of Reproductive Biology, isolation of DNA, RNA and proteins of testes, PCR, polyacrylamid gel electrophoresis (PAGE), histology of testes (parafin samples), histological staining (eosin, haematoxylin)

Summer school in sustainable agricultural development.
